Lies
once created
crawl on you like fleas
under the skin
pushing hard against the dermis
gnawing their way into the daylight
your body
the vehicle for their survival
and their rebirth
parasites
they tear
and feast on your flesh
drag rotten fingernails
across the hairs on your legs
they cut
cheesewire lengths
swollen tally marks
under your dress
the lies
they mate – they breed
they crawl on your skin
like fleas
